START THE MISSION TO CREATE A DESIGNATED BATHING AREA AT THE STEPPING STONES
Why? Bathing Water designations help to clean up popular swimming spots, as they are regularly monitored with targets set for improvements. This should lead to improved water quality along the Mole which right now has huge e-coli amounts as well as chemical pollution.
Join them 12-3 on Sunday August 28 / Monday 29th (bank holiday weekend) to survey numbers of bathers / paddlers and get people to sign a petition urging the National Trust & Mole Valley District Council to start action.
Only if it’s hot so the area is likely to be crowded.

Coordination Officer for Surrey Climate Commission
Surrey Climate Commission is looking for an enthusiastic and well organised individual to join the Surrey Climate Commission as the new Co-ordination Officer, co-ordinating the day to day activities of the Surrey Climate Commission.
In particular they’re looking for a committed and experienced individual to help drive their ‘sustainable living’ communication campaigns, and to support their networks, partners and volunteers to increase the scale and reach of the Surrey Climate Commission. This is a new role within the Surrey Climate Commission. It will be mainly home based with some travelling required around Surrey to engage with partners and communities. Attendance at occasional evening meetings will be necessary.
Hours: 14 – 18 hours per week
Term: 1 year contract
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 full time equivalent, pro rata (i.e. circa £13,000 for part time role)
