Join DCE’s campaign to make sure that ALL Surrey’s election candidates know why they must PUT THE CLIMATE FIRST.
All 81 Surrey County Councillors are standing for re-election + many local & borough seats are being contested.
It’s a golden opportunity to make your voice heard.

Tell us your constituency (or postcode if you’re not sure) and think about the burning issue that’s on your mind. Pollution, plastics, aircraft, biodiversity, a building proposal, traffic … something that really matters to you.
A few days after candidate details are published (from 10-17 April) we’ll send you our toolkit:
i) details of all your local and County candidates
ii) a sample letter to give you the idea
iii) a template letter to use as you wish. Your ‘burning issue’ matters a lot. And you’ll need to have a specific ‘call to action’ or question that you ask candidates to respond to.
We ask you to:
i) write your letter by 20th April, speaking your truth.
ii) send it to all candidates
iii) let us know the responses you receive.
And please share this widely across Surrey: send it to people you know, put it out on circulation lists of groups, etc etc.
The more letters candidates receive, the more likely they’ll be to PUT THE CLIMATE FIRST
