“UK Government and Councils talk about net zero targets and actions to achieve this, and how we have already reduced our emissions by 44% since 1990. But infact net zero targets and these metrics exclude consumption based emissions. Those emissions from the UK are nearly 50% of the UK’s carbon emissions. This can not be ignored. So in principle targeting net-zero emissions in UK by 2050 is only around 50% towards zero. We have to debunk this talk of net-zero.”
