BECOME A ‘COOL’ FAMILY

Sun 10 TH Nov: 2.00. Family walk & cycle ride. Different routes, same destination. Bring a picnic to share, whatever the weather. Meet at Friends’ Meeting House Dorking RH4 2LE. FREE.

Mon 11th: 7-9pm: Eco Café at St John’s Community Centre, Furlong Rd Westcott RH4 3PP. Sharing tips for a sustainable Christmas. Bring ideas and examples. Warm welcome guaranteed. Run by St John’s Church.

Tues 12th : 8 ‘til late. ‘Get it off your chest’ pub evening in the Narnia Room, Old House RH4 1BY. Excellent company in this characterful room: speak and be listened to over a pint. FREE.

Wed 13th 7.30: Talk about sustainable farming by Hugh Broom, our local expert. Burgundy & Black. FREE.

Thurs 14th: After-school or lunchtime litter picks. If you’d like your school / group / workplace to join in, please email contact@dorking-climate-emergency.net

Friday 15th Nov: 7.30 for 8.00 – 10.15. ANY QUESTIONS EVENT at Crossways Community Baptist Church, RH4 3HB. Meet a panel of prominent local and Surrey councillors + climate experts to hear their views on the Climate Emergency as they answer questions which YOU want answered. Sat 16th Nov: 10.30 – 2.00 Drop-in workshops on making eco-friendly household products, eg toothpaste, washing liquid with vegan lunch. Friends’ Meeting House Dorking RH4 2LE. Cost £5 to cover materials. Book on Eventbrite. Details on the Dorking Quakers Facebook page.

Sat 16th Nov: 6.00 -7.30 ‘Winnie the Pooh and the Fracking Well’: at St John’s Community Centre, Furlong Rd Westcott. 7-9 pm. RH4 3PP. Enjoy a dramatised reading of this delightful bedtime story with a happy ending.
Suitable for 6+. Children, feel free to wear pjs, drink hot-choc and relax in this comfy venue. Don’t forget your parents! FREE. Please book tickets on Eventbrite.

Sunday 17th Nov: 2.00 – 3.00: closing ceremony. Meet at Old School Pixham RH4 1PQ and walk to nearby woodland for tree-planting and singing.
